Bradley N. Schulz is a trial lawyer licensed since 1985 in North Carolina, New York and New Jersey, whose practice over the last 30 years includes Divorce and Family Law, Civil Litigation, Construction Claims, Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Estate Planning and Administration, Workers’ Compensation, and appeals to the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Mr. Schulz is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the New York School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the New York State Bar, the New Jersey State Bar, American Bar Association, NY Bar Association, NJ Bar Association, NC Bar Association (NCBA), and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a past member of the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (formerly the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers), as well as a past member of the Board of Governors of the NCBA. Mr. Schulz has served as the Chair of the Law Practice Management Section of the NCBA, and is the immediate past-Chair of the NCBA Transitioning Lawyers Commission.

Mr. Schulz has handled hundreds of family law matters, and emphasizes complicated custody disputes and complex property divisions (E.D.) cases. He has also trialed over 100 civil cases to jury verdict. He is a trial lawyer with over 30 years experience in the courtroom.

Mr. Schulz is also an avid hunter and outdoorsman. In the winter months, he can be found on many Saturday mornings duck hunting in the Cedar Island, NC area, or out on “the Banks.” A standing member of Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl, he is also active in waterfowl conservation projects. In his spare time, he runs licensed field trials and hunt tests with his Labrador Retrievers. He and Sundee Stephenson are the proud owners of J.C.’s High Tech Double or Nothing, MH-MNH, a wonderful Labrador retriever, who was recently inducted into the AKC Master National Retriever Club Hall of Fame, after having successfully completed 3 Master National annual events in Kansas, Maryland, and California. Mr. Schulz also spends time repairing wooden duck decoys, and also carving his own, that he uses to hunt over in his own decoy spread.

Mr. Schulz has been an avid baseball player since his high school years, and several years ago began coaching in the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Down East leagues. Mr. Schulz’s Spring 2015 Babe Ruth team went undefeated, and was Champion of the Crystal Coast League, a 3 county league. His team went on to compete at a high level in the 2015 N.C. Babe Ruth Championship Series. Mr. Schulz has also assisted his friends Coach Jason Salter and Coach Chuck Lewis as a volunteer coach with the East Carteret High School Varsity and JV baseball teams. He believes that exercise and sports help people maintain a healthy lifestyle, and he cherishes the athletic and scholastic accomplishments of his past and present players. During non-baseball times of the year, you will probably find Mr. Schulz attending an East Carteret High School football or basketball game.

Mr. Schulz has achieved the AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating in legal ability and ethical standards. He has also achieved a 10.0 rating from AVVO, which is the highest possible rating. He is also a past member of A.B.O.T.A., an invitation-only organization whose members have been certified to have tried many cases to jury verdict, who have practiced for many years as a trial attorney, and who have high ethical standards.
