In his spare time, he runs licensed field trials and hunt tests with his Labrador Retrievers. He and Sundee Stephenson are the proud owners of J.C.’s High Tech Double or Nothing, MH-MNH, a wonderful Labrador retriever, who was recently inducted into the AKC Master National Retriever Club Hall of Fame, after having successfully completed 3 Master National annual events in Kansas, Maryland, and California. Mr. Schulz has been an avid baseball player since his high school years, and several years ago began coaching in the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Down East leagues. Mr. Schulz’s Spring 2015 Babe Ruth team went undefeated, and was Champion of the Crystal Coast League, a 3 county league. His team went on to compete at a high level in the 2015 N.C. Babe Ruth Championship Series. Mr. Schulz has also assisted his friends Coach Jason Salter and Coach Chuck Lewis as a volunteer coach with the East Carteret High School Varsity and JV baseball teams.
